Day 1

Day 1: Flight to Luang Prabang

Day 2

Day 2: Exploring the old royal city

Arrival in Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel (check-in at the hotel from 14:00). The first day is free for you to arrive relaxed or for your first own explorations in the old royal city. Overnight in Luang Prabang including breakfast the next morning.
Day 3

Day 3: City tour of Luang Prabang and excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls (B)

City tour with a visit to Wat Visoun, the oldest actively used temple in Luang Prabang, which also houses a collection of gilded wooden Buddha statues from the 15th and 16th centuries. We continue to Wat Xien Thong, probably the most beautiful monastery in Luang Prabang, and the National Museum (Royal Palace). The former Royal Palace became a National Museum in 1975, where you can find some rooms that have been preserved the way the royal family last used them (closed on Tuesdays). After that, you can still see Wat Mai. From Luang Prabang, you will later go to the Kuang Si waterfalls, whose sinter terraces form a perfect natural backdrop. Enjoy swimming in the clear water or just resting. Then head to the “Khmu” village of Ban Tha Pene before returning to Luang Prabang. In the evening, the Talat Night Market (Hmond Market) is still on your agenda. Overnight in Luang Prabang including breakfast the next morning. A mixture of royal ballet and folk tales about rural life is waiting for you. You will return around 20:00.
Day 4

Day 4: Boat trip to the unique Pak Ou Caves (B)

Visit the local market in the morning, which is very busy in the early hours of the morning. Then a boat trip down the Mekong River to the steep limestone cliffs that rise above the Mekong River and the Nam Ou River. Their goal is the Pak Ou caves, which are uniquely populated with Buddha images of all kinds. As you continue, you will stop at Ban Xang Hai village, which is known for its Lao Lao (rice whisky). You will then visit Ban Muang Keo with its silk weaving and rice schnapps distillery, as well as the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong. Here you can follow the production of traditionally hand-woven cotton and silk, as well as the production of mulberry paper. Back in Luang Prabang, climb the 100m high temple mount Phou Si in the middle of the city and visit the small temple complex on top of it. From up here, you have a wonderful view of the city and the river. Overnight in Luang Prabang including breakfast the next morning. Meals included: breakfast

Day 5: Welcome to Siem Reap - the starting point of your Cambodia adventure.

Arrival in Siem Reap and transfer to the hotel (check-in at the hotel from 14:00). The first day is free for you to arrive relaxed or for your first own explorations. Overnight in Siem Reap including breakfast the next morning.
Day 6

Day 6: Visit Roluos Temple Group (B)

Today, you'll visit the 9th century Roluos temple group with Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei temples. Then continue to the well-preserved and artfully decorated temples of Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. Overnight in Siem Reap including breakfast the next morning. From above, you have an ideal view of the impressive temple area and the many rice fields and small villages in the area (except the main temple of Angkor Wat). Day 7

Day 7: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (B)

Angkor Wat is the largest religious structure in the world. The huge temple complex, in the middle of the tropical jungle, was the center of Khmer high culture from the 9th to the 15th century. In its heyday, 1 million people lived there, more than in any city in Europe at the time. You will visit the south gate of Angkor Thom with the famous Bayon complex, the elephant terrace, the leper king's terrace, and Baphoun Temple. In the afternoon, you will then explore the “wonder of the world” Angkor Wat, which was created in a 40-year construction period by countless builders and sculptors on behalf of the most important Khmer king Siriyavaram. The day is rounded off by a visit to the Pre Rup Temple, which offers a unique and atmospheric sunset over Angkor. Drive back to the hotel with a stop for a foot massage. Overnight in Siem Reap including breakfast the next morning. Day 8

Day 8: The jungle temple Ta Phrom and the floating villages (B)

Today, you'll visit the temple of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, and Ta Phrom. Then take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake with a visit to the floating villages. It is one of the most fish-rich bodies of water in the world. Over centuries, people have adapted to the change in water levels influenced by monsoon rains and Mekong. On the way back, stop at Wat Athovea. Overnight in Siem Reap including breakfast the next morning. Day 9: Flight from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville and transfer to your beach resort (B)

In the morning, enjoy some free time at the “Old Market”, which is very popular. There are dozens of shops here with a fairly wide range of souvenirs. On the opposite side of the market, local foods such as fruits, vegetables and meat are offered. Transfer to the airport and fly to Sihanoukville. Upon arrival in Sihanoukville, you will be taken by speedboat to your beach hotel on Koh Rong or Koh Rong Samloem. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Day 14: City tour Phnom Penh with romantic boat trip (B)

In the morning, visit the National Museum, which was built in the traditional Khmer style. It houses the world's leading collection of ancient Khmer art, archaeological and religious artifacts from the 4th to the 13th century. Over 5000 works of art are exhibited here. We continue to the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Then the Wat Phnom pagoda awaits you. A visit to the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum — formerly a school and a prison during the Pol Pot regime — gives you an insight into Cambodia's history during the Khmer Rouge period. The day ends with a one-hour boat trip on the Mekong River during sunset. Overnight in Phnom Penh including breakfast the next morning. Meals included: breakfast

Day 15: Phnom Penh - Return flight (B)
