Tour Overview

Day 1

Day 1 Arrival in Siem Reap

This exciting trip starts as soon as your flight arrives at Siem Reap, the gateway city to the complex of Angkor Ruins of Cambodia. Our guide will greet you outside the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. A private transfer will take you to our hand-picked hotel for check-in. You can spend the rest of the day simply relaxing at the hotel or exploring the Old Market in the city center on your own. Accommodation: Tara Angkor Hotel (4 stars) or similar
Day 2

Day 2 Siem Reap

If weather permits, we can start the day in the early morning by viewing the haunting spectacle of Angkor Wat lit by the golden light of sunrise. Return to the hotel to have breakfast. Then proceed to Angkor Thom's imposing South Gate, topped with the four serenely smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. We will focus on visiting the Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Bayon Temple is at the heart of Angkor Thom, and it has 49 impressive pagodas as its highlights. Each of the pagodas has four smiling faces of the Avalokiteshvara, so the area really makes people feel as though they are in another world. The remarkable Elephant Terrace still retains some of its original glory. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Stop to explore the jungle-entwined temple, Ta Prohm. Next we proceed to Bakheng Temple. Here you can view a breathtaking sunset, which is something indeed not to be missed. We conclude this well-spent day by enjoying the Apsara Dinner Show. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Apsara Dinner Show Accommodation: Tara Angkor Hotel (4 stars) or similar
Day 3

Day 3 Siem Reap

Today we will visit Preah Khan (Sacred Sword): one of Angkor's largest temples, constructed in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII. We then drive to visit Banteay Srei Temple. En route, we will visit some villages to observe the local lifestyle, like making Palm suger. Smaller than many other temples in the area, Banteay Srei is very different in color and should not be missed. Visitors are fascinated with its very exquisite inscriptions and carvings. We suggest you a lunch stop at Bong Thom home stay (reservation is needed) or at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the ancient capital of King Indravarman I (877–889), now referred to as the Rolous Group and known as the birthplace of classical Khmer art and architecture. If time allowed, have a stop at Orphanage school nearby for a short visit. Drive back to the hotel in the late afternoon. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Accommodation: Tara Angkor Hotel (4 stars) or similar
Day 4

Day 4 Departure from Siem Reap

We shift gears to something different this morning. We will first proceed to Khmer Village to enjoy the rice field scenery and rustic airs. Next we board a boat on Tonle Sap Lake and visit the floating village to observe a totally different way of life. After lunch, we will transfer to the airport and see you off on your flight to your next destination. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Accommodation: Tara Angkor Hotel (4 stars) or similar
