You'll stay in a fully air-conditioned room. The hotel is perfectly situated, just around the corner from the Old Quarter, where there are dozens of cosy little restaurants and quirky souvenir shops to explore. If you have time to spare, you can recover from your journey by watching the world go by from a pavement cafe. -VRT's Welcome Gift - The Travelers Revival Anti-Jetlag Body Massage Start your holiday with a top to toe circulation boost. Day 2

Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Your tour begins at the General Post Office and from there to Notre Dame Cathedral, both fine examples of French colonial architecture. Continue towards the Reunification Palace, previously known as the Presidential Palace, the site of the official South Vietnamese surrender on April 30th, 1975. Entry is not included but you will have the opportunity to take photographs. From there head over to the War Remnants museum. Originally opened in September 1975, the museum displays old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War including some larger exhibits including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter. Hop into a traditional cyclo, a three-wheeled bicycle with a carriage at the front for you to sit in, while the driver pedals you through Ho Chi Minh City. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of Ho Chi Minh City without the barrier of a car window or the sound of an engine. Travel through Tao Dan Park to the Tan Dinh wet market. Tanh Dinh serves as both produce market and community center as you will see the locals spend just about as much time with daily gossip as they do with the daily shopping. The last stop on the tour is the famous Ben Thanh market where you can practice your language skills bargaining for souvenirs, clothing and knick knacks. The market itself has an interesting history. Its original location was close to the Ben Nghe River and the old fort of Gia Dinh before it was destroyed in 1859 during the French invasion of Saigon. It was rebuilt and later moved to its present location in 1899. At the end of your tour, you are free to continue exploring the area or your guide will assist you in getting our van back to your hotel.
Day 3

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

The next two days of your suggested Vietnam itinerary are dedicated to the Mekong River, with its vast fertile delta. At around 7:30am, the minibus will take you in the direction of Cai Be. From here, you'll hop onto a boat and sail in a small group through the Mekong Delta. In Cai Be you'll sail past colourful, floating markets, where vendors will offer their wares from their boats jammed with produce, dangling their goods in the air from a long pole. Daily life will pass you by as you sail through the intricate waterways meeting small villages, rice paddies and local businesses. While sailing through the maze of canals, you'll visit one of the many islands on the Mekong; Vinh Long Island. During the afternoon you'll sail for approximately 3 hours until you reach Can Tho, where you'll arrive on time for sunset. The boat will then take you to a simple but charming hotel for the night. During the dry season, this portion of the trip will be conducted by mini bus due to low water levels.
Day 4

Day 4: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City

On the fourth day of your Vietnam holiday package you'll leave your hotel at 7.30am. The local boat will take you to the floating market of Cai Rang, which is the largest, most important, and probably the noisiest floating market in the Mekong Delta. In order to get close to all of the excitement of the floating market, you'll transfer over to a bamboo rowboat. You'll sail amidst all of the boats peddling their wares. Naturally you yourself won't have to row during this journey and therefore you'll have plenty of time to negotiate and purchase goods. At the end of this Mekong Delta tour you'll have a pretty good impression of life on this important river. Eventually you'll take the comfortable air-conditioned coach back to Ho Chi Minh where you'll arrive at around 3-4pm. Tonight is your last night in Ho Chi Minh City before your Vietnam holiday package going to Cambodia
Day 5

Day 5: Siem Reap Arrival – Angkor Thom – Siem Reap

We wave farewell to Vietnam this morning and take the short flight over the border to Siem Reap in Cambodia. After completing customs and immigration procedures, we meet our local guide and drive the short distance to town where we check in and freshen up before our afternoon adventure commences. Hop in a private remork (tuk-tuk) for the 15-minute ride to the South Gate and walk along the ancient city wall with your guide, stopping for photos of magnificent demons lining the causeway. Explore the lost temple of Prasat Chrung for approximately one hour before continuing to the 12th-century Bayon Temple, surrounded by 51 stone towers; each features four serene faces of a smiling bodhisattva. Your knowledgeable guide then accompanies you the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace and the Terrace of the Leper King, where you can spend up to two hours. Hear fascinating stories about the Khmer kings that once ruled the ancient city. After your private tour, spend your evening at your leisure. If you're feeling social, take a dip in the outdoor pool that hosts a happy hour. Otherwise head to your air-conditioned room and enjoy dinner and drinks ordered from the room service menu.
Day 6

Day 6: Siem Reap – Ta Prohm – Angkor Wat– Banteay Srei – Pre Rup – Siem Reap

Rise early and depart from your hotel approximately 30 minutes before sunrise, traveling by remork to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm. The UNESCO-listed temple complex is one of the most popular at Angkor. The monuments have been left in the same condition in which they were discovered in the 19th century. Return to your hotel for breakfast, after which you visit the world-famous Angkor Wat, another UNESCO World Heritage site and the best preserved of all the temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park. Your private tour around this magnificent 12th-century structure lasts a few hours. Discover numerous surviving stone temples, once surrounded by wood palaces, public buildings and houses that have since disappeared. Following lunch at a local restaurant in the afternoon, drive to the temple of Banteay Srei, built in the 10th century. Located 19 miles (32 km) from Siem Reap, the small UNESCO-listed temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, but is dubbed ‘Citadel of Women’ for its ornate sandstone carvings, a crown jewel of Angkor art. After your 1.5-hour private tour, take some time to explore on your own and enjoy a provided lunch. When it's time to head back to Siem Reap, you might even catch the sunset descending behind prongs of Pre Rup.
Day 7

Day 7: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Siem Reap

Following breakfast, take a 30-minute morning drive by remork to the edge of Siem Reap for a 15-minute ox-cart ride through the countryside. Then continue by air-conditioned vehicle to reach Cambodia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonle Sap. Classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the lake feeds the Mekong River during the dry season and swells during monsoons. Board a local boat at the riverbank for an approximate 30-minute ride to Kompong Phluk, the largest floating village on the lake, where you’ll spend the rest of the morning. Here, observe the fascinating daily activities of the Cambodian villagers who reside along the shore, gaining a better sense of how their lives are shaped by the water’s rhythms. After lunch at a local restaurant, the rest of your day is free to spend as you like.
Day 8

Day 8 Siem Reap- Nha Trang Beach
